Business Development Professional

SpaceFactory is a pioneering startup at the forefront of advancing manufacturing and construction technologies for both terrestrial and extraterrestrial applications. As we expand, we are looking for a Business Development Professional who is passionate about significantly impacting the future of advanced manufacturing and space technology.

Position Summary:    

As the primary Business Development Professional at SpaceFactory, you will work directly under the guidance of the CEO and alongside our engineering team. This role involves managing strategic partnerships, driving sales efforts, and being integral to daily operations. This position suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys diverse challenges, and is keen to handle everything from strategic negotiations to hands-on operational tasks. Please note: this is an in-person role based at our SpaceFactory facility in Huntsville, Alabama.

What you’ll do:    

  • Develop and nurture relationships with strategic partners and clients.

  • Communicate the technical details of our products to diverse stakeholders.

  • Channel customer insights back to our engineering team to influence future product development.

  • Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and prepare strategic reports.

  • Contribute to product development discussions, providing innovative solutions aligned with market demands.

What you have:  

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in overcoming challenges. He/she/they are driven by SpaceFactory’s mission and enthusiastic about long-term growth with the company.

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree.

  • Preferably ~2 years of experience in business development, customer service, or a related field.

  • Well-connected locally, preferably with ties to local manufacturers and agencies.

  • Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.

  • Technical affinity, with a keen interest in innovative technologies and space; prior technical experience is an asset but not required.

  • Ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment and efficiently solve problems.
